Tour de Kosovo

The 2010 Tour de Kosovo provides a perfect opportunity for cyclists' seeking a challenge with a difference to compete on closed roads within a team structure. Kosovo is an intriguing place, full of paradoxes and surprises for any first time visitor and provided a perfect location and conditions for a Tour. The roads are ideal, there are plenty of high mountains and the 2010 Tour de Kosovo provides each rider/team with a support structure that will leave you feeling like a pro!

Introduction

The provisional dates for the 2010 Tour de Kosovo are 13-18 May. The Route has been subject to major alteration and will comprise of three 100 mile (160k) stages. The other major change planned for 2010 is to make the Tour a three day stage-race based on a ‘semi-pro-am’ format. 35 teams (four riders per team) are expected to take part and compete for a range of different prizes.

All three stages will start and finish Prishtina and subject to a time limit be raced on closed roads. A range of different prizes are on offer. These include: Overall Tour Winner, Overall Best Overall Team, King of the Mountains, and King of the Sprints. All winning Jerseys will be awarded to the winners at a reception to be held on the evening after the last stage.
