Stages

The route is still to be confirmed and may be subject to adjustment or change.  However, we can confirm each stage will start and end in Prishtina.

The official distance of each is 100 miles (160 kilometres) and will include some major climbs.  However, the Tour de Kosovo Sportive is designed to enable rides of different abilities choose their challenge.

Each day, riders can elect to ride the full 100 miles or shorten their challenge, by opting for the 50 mile ride.  Full stage details will be available shortly, but the basic details are set out below:

Stage One (Provisional)
Prishtina to Peja to Prishtina.
Riders will have the opportunity to ride over the Klina Pass which boasts some of the steepest climbs in Kosovo.

For those opting for the one way only 50 mile ride there will be an opportunity to spend some time in Peja before being taken back to Prishtina.

Stage Two (Provisional)
Prishtina to Prizren to Prishtina.
Riders will pass over the Llapushe mountain range which provides the toughest challenge of the Tour.
Riders opting for the shorter ride will have the opportunity to spend some time in the picturesque city Prizren before being taken back to Prishtina.

Stage Three (Provisional)
Prishtina to Mitrovica to Gjilan to Prishtina
This ride is the flattest of the Tour and provides riders a chance to either rest their legs or try for a fast days riding.  Again, there is the option to ride the shorter distance, spending time in Prishtina before the end of Tour reception.
